Fulbright & Jaworski will join forces with New York-based Reavis & McGrath in what is believed to be the nation’s largest law firm merger, the firm said. The merged firm will have 581 attorneys. Houston-based Fulbright, a full service firm founded in 1919, also has offices in Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Tex., Washington, London and Zurich, Switzerland. Reavis, established in 1935, has 80 attorneys in New York City and 25 in Los Angeles dealing in corporate, securities and venture capital law . The new firm will be known as Fulbright & Jaworski, although its New York and Los Angeles offices will initially be called Fulbright Jaworski & Reavis McGrath. The merger is scheduled to be completed Jan. 1.
