50 Cows Die on Flight From Florida to Colombia
From Reuters
BOGOTA, Colombia —
Fifty out of 74 Holstein dairy cows died on a flight from Miami to Bogota, the second such incident in less than a month, airport officials said on Thursday.
The cows, worth $80,000, were found dead when the Boeing 707 of the U.S. Million Air transport company landed in Bogota on Wednesday night. They apparently died of asphyxia caused by problems in the plane’s air pressure system, the officials said.
