George Foreman, former heavyweight boxing champion, said Thursday that he’s concerned that current champion Mike Tyson might be in jail before Foreman gets a chance to fight him.

Foreman said Thursday he wants to fight Tyson next year but worries that Tyson, who has been involved in a series of scrapes in recent months, won’t be available.

“My timetable is to get ahold of Mike Tyson before he gets caught and locked up,” Foreman said. “I’ve got to get ahold of him before a good district attorney does.”

Foreman, 40, who has won all 13 bouts in his comeback, will fight David Bey (15-6) Nov. 26 at Las Vegas.
