Fast Start Helps Gilder Win by 2 Strokes at Kapalua

Bob Gilder started with 3 birdies and finished with a 6-under-par 66 for a 266 total and a 2-stroke win Saturday in the Kapalua golf tournament at Kapalua, Hawaii.
John Mahaffey, who also shot a 66, was second at 268.
Lee Elder birdied two of the last three holes for a 1-under-par 70 and a 137 total that gave him a one-stroke lead over Harold Henning in a $300,000 PGA Seniors Tour event at Key Biscayne, Fla.
