Three UC San Diego professors have received the annual faculty awards from the UCSD Chancellor’s Associates for outstanding teaching, research and public service.
Biology Professor Paul A. Price received the award for teaching; Associate Professor of Surgery Steven R. Shackford, a designer of the county’s trauma system, garnered honors for community service, and philosophy Professor Patricia S. Churchland won recognition for research in linking philosophy with advances in neuroscience.
Each recipient received $1,000.
