The entrance of the Ritz-Carlton will be filled with the glow of more than 100,000 lights this afternoon during the hotel’s Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.
A 40-foot tree will be lit at 4:30 p.m., while the 3rd U.S. Marine Aircraft Wing Band performs Christmas carols.
The outdoor event is free to the public and will include a walk-through gingerbread house covered with 10,000 cookies, a puppet show, an ice-sculpting demonstration and appearances by Mickey Mouse and Santa and Mrs. Clause.
Parking is available at the Salt Creek Beach Park next to the hotel at 33533 Ritz-Carlton Drive in Laguna Niguel.
