McBane Chosen as Agoura Hills Mayor

Darlene McBane was named mayor of Agoura Hills on Wednesday.
The position of mayor is rotated among members of the City Council each year. McBane replaced Jack W. Koenig, who returned to the position of council member.
In her acceptance speech, McBane proposed establishing a task force to identify residents’ child-care needs and ways to meet those needs.
McBane had held the title of mayor pro tem before Wednesday. Councilwoman Vicky Leary assumed that post.
