Local News in Brief : High Court Rejects Murderer’s Appeal

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Stanley Williams, who was sentenced to death in California for killing four people during robberies.

Williams was convicted of killing Alvin Owens, a convenience store worker, in Whittier on Feb. 27, 1979, and two days later killing Los Angeles motel proprietors Thsai-Shai Yang, Yen-I Yang and their daughter, Yee Chen Lin.
