Local News in Brief : Off-Ramps to Be Closed on Ventura Freeway
Several Ventura Freeway off-ramps in the Woodland Hills area will be closed tonight and throughout the weekend for construction work, state transportation officials said.
The eastbound Ventura Boulevard and Fallbrook Avenue off-ramps will be closed from 9 tonight until 5:30 a.m. Monday, said Caltrans spokeswoman Margaret Blum. The westbound Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Woodlake Avenue off-ramps also will be closed during the same period, Blum said.
In addition, the far right lane of Ventura Boulevard, Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Woodlake Avenue and Fallbrook Avenue will be closed for a half-mile at the site of the ramp construction throughout the weekend, she said.
Workers will be repaving the ramps and replacing guardrails as part of the Ventura Freeway improvement and widening project.
