Alameda County supervisors rank among the second-highest paid in the state after giving themselves a 61% pay increase, boosting their annual salary from $38,400 to $61,929. Beginning Jan. 1, they will receive the same pay as their counterparts in San Diego and Santa Clara counties. Only Los Angeles County pays its supervisors more--$84,756 annually. The supervisors voted to make their salaries equal to 80% of the amount paid to Municipal Court judges, the same formula used to set pay for supervisors in San Diego and Santa Clara counties.
