Four ‘Baby John Doe’ Abortion Foes Freed

United Press International

A judge has freed the last four abortion protesters who were among 1,200 arrested during demonstrations that began during the Democratic National Convention in July.

Fulton County State Court Judge Albert L. Thompson on Tuesday released the four, who had identified themselves only as Baby John Doe, on their own recognizance. His decision reversed the action of another judge, who two weeks ago denied the protesters’ attempt to obtain freedom under a habeas corpus petition and said they should identify themselves.
