A 7,000-member hotel and restaurant workers union chapter voted overwhelmingly to accept a new, four-year contract with several major hotels in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, officials said.

During a day of voting at the Convention Center, members of Hotel, Restaurant and Bartenders International Union, Local 11, voted 1,025 to 13 to accept the pact on Friday, union spokesman Miguel Contreras said.

Union attorney Ellen Greenstone said the contract gives employees who do not receive tips--about 80% of the members--a 50-cent hourly raise retroactive to June 1.

Incremental raises will increase the hourly wage of maids, who make up the largest percentage of union members, from $5.02 to $6.47 by the time the contract expires in April, 1992, Greenstone said.
