MIAMI — A TWA flight from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami with 128 people on board was diverted to Grand Turk island in the Bahamas on Sunday after a Spanish-speaking man told the crew he had a bomb and wanted to go to Havana, authorities said.
The man was arrested soon after the plane landed, when police on Grand Turk fooled him into thinking he was in Cuba, FBI spokesman Paul Miller said. No one was injured, and no bomb was found, Miller said.
