In a week when the three major networks combined to attract only 62% of the prime-time audience, NBC handily beat its rivals by capturing the five top spots on A. C. Nielsen’s list of most-watched programs. With a special airing in its old time slot at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, “Night Court,” edged out the usual champ “Cosby Show” with an estimated viewership of 21.6 million homes. * “Moonlighting” got a very encouraging “welcome back” from its fans last week. The ABC series, whose story line last season rankled many TV viewers, was seen in about 16.2 million homes and ranked 13th among the week’s most-watched shows. Whether the fans liked what they saw and will stick with the trials of David and Maddie will be told by ratings for subsequent episodes.
