Local News in Brief : County Bar Assn. Lauds Federal Judge
Lauded for her intensity, intelligence and integrity, U.S. District Judge Pamela Ann Rymer on Tuesday became the 10th recipient of the Outstanding Trial Jurist Award presented annually by the 25,000-lawyer Los Angeles County Bar Assn.
Honoring a state or federal trial judge in the county, the award is based on courtesy, judicial temperament, knowledge of the law, dedication and diligence, and trial experience.
Rymer accepted a bronze bust of Solomon--engraved with his prayer for “a wise and understanding heart” for anyone who sits in judgment--from association President Margaret M. Morrow before 500 judges and lawyers at the Biltmore Hotel ceremony.
