Using colored charts that marked former Miss America Bess Myerson’s name in red and her millionaire lover’s in green, prosecutors summed up the conspiracy case against the couple and the divorce court judge they are accused of bribing. “Their motives were greed and vengeance,” Assistant U.S. Atty. Stuart Abrams said of Myerson and her boyfriend, Carl (Andy) Capasso. Myerson, New York City’s former cultural affairs commissioner, is accused of trying to influence former state Supreme Court Justice Hortense W. Gabel, who was making interim alimony rulings in Capasso’s divorce. In exchange for the cut Gabel made in Capasso’s weekly payments, Myerson allegedly gave a city job to the judge’s daughter.
