Intervention Program Receives $202,500
A $202,500 county contract will enable Harbor View House to continue a 14-day crisis intervention program for mentally ill homeless adults.
The program offers supervision and education in daily living skills, personal hygiene and planned and directed recreational activities. In addition, professional counseling and medication adjustments are available through referrals or the agency’s consulting psychiatrist.
The county has contracted with the San Pedro-based program since 1986 to provide six short-term care beds for the mentally-ill homeless.
