Nominations are being sought for the 1989-90 San Diego County Grand Jury, which begins its term in July. Those who wish to be considered for an appointment should contact the Office of the Jury Commissioner no later than Jan. 6.

Each Superior Court and Municipal Court judge may nominate up to three people to be included in a random drawing scheduled for June 5. Nineteen jurors will be selected in the drawing.

Grand jurors act as watchdogs and examine all aspects of county and city governments. In some cases, grand jurors conduct criminal investigations.
