Richard Stolley Named Time Editorial Director

NEW YORK — Time Inc. said it appointed Richard Stolley editorial director of Time Inc. magazines to oversee 22 magazines around the world with a readership of more than 100 million.
Stolley, 60, currently director of special projects at Time, will succeed Ray Cave on Jan. 1.
Stolley has been at Time for 35 years. He was the founding editor of People magazine and later served as managing editor of Life magazine.
He began his career at Time as a reporter and editor for Life, and was best known for acquiring Abraham Zapruders’s film of President Kennedy’s assassination.
