San Antonio Officer With Nerves of Steel Honored

SAN ANTONIO —
Police Chief William O. Gibson has named Resistor, a robot, as the department’s outstanding officer for December. The 5-foot-2 computer is a public relations tool that visits schools and encourages students to avoid drug abuse and promotes safety. Gibson presented Resistor, sworn in as an officer Oct. 27, with the award and plaque on Monday.
