USC Women Lose to Unbeaten UNLV, 82-78

Forward Geannine Jordan scored 21 points as the Nevada Las Vegas women’s basketball team defeated USC, 82-78, Friday night at the Sports Arena.
Jordan hit 9 of 11 shots from the floor and 3 of 4 free throws. She also had a team-high 8 rebounds. Jordan’s twin sister, Pauline, had 16 points and 6 rebounds for the Lady Rebels (8-0). The Jordans are former Pasadena Muir High School standouts.
Center Cherie Nelson scored 29 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for the Lady Trojans (3-4), who were playing their first home game after 6 games on the road.
