Comeback for Cos?

It’s strictly in development at this point, but Bill Cosby could be back before big-screen cameras between taping seasons of his hit TV series, trying to put the box-office disaster of “Leonard, Part VI” behind him. The likely project, sources tell us, is a drama for Columbia: Cos would play a Viet vet who discovers that he has a half-Vietnamese daughter, now an adult and living in France; mom has died, and father and daughter try to establish a cross-cultural relationship.

New York-based playwright and sometime screenwriter Richard Wesley (“Native Son,” “Fast Forward”) is awork on the screenplay. Stanley Robertson will produce. No director has been set.

We hadn’t heard back from the comedian-actor at press time, but his spokesman said, “I’m not denying that there’s (film) activity.”
