Aram Tolegian; Former Dean of L.A. Metropolitan College
Aram Tolegian, 79, educator, school administrator and former dean of Los Angeles Metropolitan College, a two-year, nontraditional school that serves military personnel stationed overseas. Tolegian was an assistant dean at East Los Angeles College in 1964 when he took over Metropolitan, a college without a campus. He also served as chairman of the Council on Human Relations of the Los Angeles school district and from 1968 to 1972 was dean of the evening division and summer session at East L.A. College. In Montebello on Monday of a heart condition.
