2 Officers Charged With Making Man Eat Cocaine
Two police officers accused of forcing a drug dealer to eat 20 pieces of “crack” cocaine have been ordered to stand trial on assault charges.
Ricardo Darbins, 22, and Cedric Scott, 27, were also charged, along with six fellow officers, with conspiracy and entry without permission. They were accused of breaking into crack houses without warrants in order to terrorize occupants.
The drug dealer was treated at a hospital for an overdose. Prosecutors said he may have saved his life after the police left by drinking vinegar to induce vomiting.
