It’s official: Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith will marry again. But according to a statement from spokesman Elliott Mintz, released Monday, the recoupled couple wants some privacy, and a wedding date won’t be disclosed. “Both Don and Melanie wish to enjoy this very special time together,” Mintz said. “In order to provide a sense of dignity and privacy, there will be no press conference, photo opportunities, interviews or further statement.” Johnson and Griffith began living together in 1972--when she was only a teen-ager--were married in 1976 and separated a short time thereafter. Griffith--who is getting strong notices for her star turn in “Working Girl”--later married and divorced actor Steven Bauer, with whom she had a son, now 3, while Johnson has had relationships with Patti D’Arbanville (the mother of his 5-year-old son) and, more recently, Barbra Streisand.
