Clean Air Plan and the AQMD
On Page 1 of the Metro section (Dec. 17) an article describes the controversy between the electric power generating industry, oil-refining companies and the AQMD.
One of the problems seems to be the air pollution caused by the generating of ozone.
On Page 4 of the same section, an article expresses concern over the depletion of ozone over the North and South Poles, and the possible effect on human health.
So here’s my suggestion: Move the power plants and oil refineries to the North and South Poles, and it might not be a bad idea to send the AQMD with them.
