Ted Tollner, former USC football coach, has joined the list of candidates for the vacant Stanford coaching job, but Dennis Green, San Francisco 49ers’ assistant coach, is reportedly the front-runner.
Tollner, an assistant with the Buffalo Bills, was interviewed this week by Stanford Athletic Director Andy Geiger in Buffalo on Geiger’s nationwide tour seeking additional candidates to replace Jack Elway, who was fired.
“I’m very interested in the job, but at this point, I’d rather leave it at that,” Tollner told the Times Tribune of Palo Alto.
