Syndicated movie reviewers Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert don’t agree on much, and 1988’s list of Top 10 movies is no exception. Out of the 10, they only agreed on three: “The Unbearable Lightness of Being,” “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” and “The Accidental Tourist.” Siskel’s No. 1 choice, “The Last Temptation of Christ,” wasn’t even on Ebert’s list. Following “Temptation” on Siskel’s list, in order, are: “Roger Rabbit,” “Bull Durham,” “Little Dorrit,” “The Accidental Tourist,” “Midnight Run,” “The Thin Blue Line,” “Hotel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie,” “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” and “Working Girl.” Ebert’s favorites: “Mississippi Burning,” “The Accidental Tourist,” “The Unbearable Lightness of Being,” “Shy People,” “Salaam Bombay,” “A Fish Called Wanda,” “Wings of Desire,” “Roger Rabbit,” “Dear America: Letters Home From Vietnam” and “Running on Empty.”
