Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn and other cartoon favorites will be the inspirations for “Tiny Tunes,” a brand-new half-hour animated series targeted for first-run syndication by producer Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. “I have known and loved the Warner Bros. characters,” Spielberg said Wednesday in announcing the new project. Exactly what form the new “Tiny Tunes” characters will take is still on the drawing board. But whether they emerge as offsprings or relatives, Spielberg promises the derivatives will have the “sauciness” of the classic Warner Bros. characters. “Tiny Tunes” will be ready for the fall of 1990, with an initial order of 65 episodes.
