Bomb Threat Delays Pan Am Jet in Brazil
From Reuters
RIO DE JANEIRO —
A bogus bomb threat grounded a Pan American World Airways jetliner for four hours at Rio’s international airport, an airport official said Wednesday.
The Buenos Aires-bound Flight 201 was on the runway and ready for takeoff Tuesday when airport police received a call from a woman saying a bomb was aboard, the official added.
The plane was cleared for takeoff about four hours behind schedule after an inspection of luggage and the aircraft’s interior yielded no sign of a bomb.
