Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : City Goes Back to Old Ambulance Company
The city is hoping to save a total of $200,000 in ambulance service costs this year by again contracting with an Anaheim company that had provided 27 previous years of emergency service, Fire Department Capt. Bob Wills said Thursday.
Wills said that the Southland Ambulance Co., which provided emergency services before the city contracted with Medix Ambulance of Tustin last year, will save residents money because of lower rates. He said Garden Grove has about 4,500 emergency service calls annually.
