Greek and American officials Thursday ended another round of talks on U.S. military bases without making much headway toward a new agreement, a government spokesman said.

“A disagreement of views continues to be observable even though a deadlock was not noted,” said Greek government spokesman Sotiris Kostopoulos.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Embassy declined to comment on the three-day talks.

It was the first round of talks since a five-year operating agreement for the four U.S. military installations expired Dec. 20.
