Thomas E. Waller, 60, has retired as vice president of the Fullerton-based Bioanalytical Systems Group of Beckman Instruments.

Waller, whose career at Beckman spanned 27 years, was succeeded by Michael T. O’Neill.

O’Neill, 47, previously was vice president of international operations for Bioanalytical Systems Group, a unit of Beckman that makes laboratory instruments for scientific research and quality control in the manufacture of drugs. His replacement has not yet been named.

O’Neill joined Beckman in 1973 as a sales representative in the United Kingdom and later held various product management and marketing positions in Europe and the United States. He also helped develop Beckman’s business in the Pacific.

O’Neill earlier this month appointed Michael D. Belbin, 42, to the new position of director of international marketing for the Bioanalytical Systems Group. Belbin had been Beckman’s regional manager for southern Europe since 1985.
