Local News in Brief : Countywide : Democratic Foundation Votes Woman Chairman
The Democratic Foundation of Orange County, an organization formed to support Democratic candidates, has elected Audrey Redfern as its first woman chairman.
Redfern, a political consultant for 12 years, was elected at the annual general membership meeting Wednesday. Jerrold Bloch, an attorney with the firm Rose, Klein & Marias was elected vice chairman.
Other officers elected include secretary Linda Moulton-Patterson, vice president of the Huntington Beach Union High School District, and treasurer Thomas J. Kelly, an accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
The Democratic Foundation was formed in 1983 and has a membership of more than 100 people, its organizers said in a statement.
