Fernando Clavijo scored the game-winning goal 8:45 into the third period and rookie goalie Kris Peat improved his record to 3-0 as the Lazers beat the Wichita Wings, 2-1, Sunday at the Forum.

Clavijo recorded his fifth goal of the season on an assist from Gary Heale.

Waad Hirmez scored the first Lazer goal 3:29 into the game.

Peat, making his second Major Indoor Soccer League start, made 20 saves and allowed only Mike Stankovic’s goal just before the half that tied the match at 1-1.
