NMB to Buy Seagate’s Recording Head Division

NMB (USA) Inc. in Chatsworth said it plans to buy Seagate Technology’s composite recording head division for an undisclosed price.

NMB (USA), the North American headquarters and operating center for Japan’s Minebea Group of companies, said the acquisition will be final later this month.

Seagate, based in Scotts Valley, Calif., is a maker of disk-drive data storage equipment used in personal computers.
