A Navy man was killed at 5 a.m. Monday when his car was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 15, about 2 miles north of Deer Springs Road, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The man’s name had not been released late Monday.
The man, about 30 years old, was driving south in the slow lane when he was hit by the 18-wheel truck driven by Jose Guerrero, 44, of Los Angeles, who was driving his truck at 45 m.p.h. Both vehicles were traveling uphill at the time.
