“Days of Lives” and “Knots Landing” were the winning shows in the the fifth annual Soap Opera Awards show presented in Los Angeles and televised nationally Monday on NBC. In the leading acting categories, winners included Joan van Ark of “Knots Landing,” Jeanne Cooper of “The Young and the Restless,” David Selby of “Falcon Crest” and Eric Braeden of “The Young and the Restless.” The winners were selected through ballots sent to the 5 million readers of Soap Opera Digest magazine.
