Two brothers, who are suspected of starting a blaze in November at a company where one of the men had just been fired, have been arrested on suspicion of arson, police said Thursday.

Andrew Edward Flint, 18, of Placentia, and Richard Stanley Flint, 20, of Corona, allegedly set fire to JAL Telemarketing in the 13000 block of Harbor Boulevard on Nov. 19, causing $300,000 in damage, Garden Grove Police Lt. John Woods said.

Andrew Flint had been fired by the company the day before the fire after company officials confronted him with allegations of embezzlement, Woods said.

Investigators from the Garden Grove police and fire departments uncovered evidence indicating that the Flints returned to the building the next day and started the fire to destroy records that would have implicated Andrew Flint in the purported embezzlement, Woods said.

In addition, Andrew Flint was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and grand theft, Woods said, stemming from allegations that he filed a false police report regarding a stolen car for insurance proceeds after taking his car to the desert and burning it.

Both were being held in the Orange County Jail pending arraignment scheduled for today, police said.
