A comedy about a young man (Frank Whaley), driven by his passion for a beautiful woman, who hooks up with an eccentric cabbie (Randy Quaid) in an all-night quest to bury her dead dog. Double Fault (Panorama/All American). Shooting in Malibu. Chad Lowe stars in this youth comedy as a tennis star of a small college who must deal with his troubles after getting booted off the team. Everybody Wins (Recorded Picture). Shooting in Wilmington, N.C. Debra Winger and Nick Nolte star in a tale of small-town corruption and sexual intrigue against a New England backdrop. The French Revolution (Adriane/Films A2/Laura/Antea/Skriba). Shooting in France. Klaus Maria Brandauer stars with Jane Seymour (as Marie Antoinette) and Sam Neill (as Lafayette) in this historic epic scheduled to be released on the Revolution’s bicentennial. On the same scope as the recent Dickens adaptation “Little Dorrit,” this mammoth project will be shot in both French and English during dialogue scenes. Executive producer Alexandre Minoushkine. Uncle Buck (Hughes/Universal). Shooting in Chicago. John Candy stars in this John Hughes comedy as the flustered title character who’s left in charge of his nephew and two nieces, aged 6 to 15.
