Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo has sold an additional 20% ownership in its Infonet subsidiary to four overseas telecommunications authorities, reducing its ownership to 40%. The transaction brings the number of CSC’s overseas partners in Infonet to eight, and includes the first Pacific Rim countries to join the alliance. Infonet provides worldwide communications and computer services to businesses and government agencies in 31 countries. The new purchasers, whose shares represent 5% ownership each, are: Telecom Australia, Singapore Telecom International PTE Ltd., PTT Telecom Netherlands and Belgium’s Regie des Telegraphes et des Telephones.
