An 81-year-old man was fatally injured when he was struck by a car while crossing a street in Reseda, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.
Eric J. Hunter of Reseda died at Medical Center of Tarzana soon after he was struck at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the crosswalk on Victory Boulevard at Vanalden Avenue, police said.
Hunter was walking south across Victory when he was struck by an eastbound car driven by Juanita Oakley, 21, of Woodland Hills. Oakley and two children in the car with her were not hurt.
Police said Oakley told investigators that she did not see the man step into the street. She was not cited in the accident and an investigation was continuing, police said.
