Nynex Corp.’s 1988 net income increased 3% to $1.32 billion on operating revenue of $12.7 billion, up 5%. Fourth-quarter earnings rose 6% to $342.2 million on operating revenue of $3.2 billion, up 3% compared to the year-ago period. Officials of the White Plains, N.Y.-based telecommunications company said the acquisition of AGS Computers and an increase in the number of digital lines in service contributed to the results.
