A 20-year-old man and two teen-agers have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a Lakewood man who was left naked and unconscious in a field after his cash and clothes were stolen, Los Alamitos police said Friday.

The victim, who was not identified, was robbed of about $55 and knocked unconscious in a field next to the Armed Forces Reserve Center about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Los Alamitos Police dispatcher Lisa Cooper said. Even his shoes and underwear were taken, she said.

When the unidentified victim regained consciousness, Cooper said, he went to a nearby gas station and called authorities. He gave police the first names of his attackers and described the three and their car.

Los Alamitos Police Cpl. Richard DeLeon later spotted the suspects and the car parked at a grocery store, Cooper said.

The victim’s trousers and most of the cash were found in the car, she said.

Arrested on suspicion of strong-arm robbery were Curtis Maddox, 20, of Orange County, and two boys, ages 17 and 13.

Cooper said the 17-year-old recently had been released from a California Youth Authority facility after serving an undisclosed sentence for theft. The younger boy was released to his mother; the older boy was taken to Juvenile Hall. The names of both were withheld because of their age.

The victim was treated for a concussion, a broken nose and a cut upper lip, Cooper said.
