Decision to Stop Semiautomatic Sales
I would like to commend Randy Garell, the president of Grant Boys, for his decision to stop selling semiautomatic assault weapons after the Stockton tragedy. I see this as a brave move on his part in face of potential criticism from other dealers and customers.
Preventing incidents such as this and others like the San Ysidro McDonald’s shooting seems to require a complete overhaul of society which we as individuals certainly feel powerless to bring about. His definitive action opens my eyes to the value in claiming the share of power we each do have and wielding it conscientiously.
