Recommendations for cutting federal government spending, including the proposed elimination of some military bases in Southern California, will be discussed by the featured speaker at Wednesday’s meeting of the World Affairs Council of Orange County.
George S. Goldberger, president of Citizens Against Government Waste, will speak at the session in Anaheim. Goldberger served on the Grace Commission, a task force of 161 business executives who donated $75 million of their own or their corporations’ money to make a long-term study of how to cut government waste. The organization Citizens Against Government Waste evolved from the commission.
