World : Gorbachev Plans Visit to England
Soviet leader Mikhail S. Gorbachev will visit England for three days beginning April 5, rescheduling a visit planned for December and postponed because of the Armenian earthquake.
A British government announcement said he will be accompanied by his wife, Raisa. In Moscow, the Communist Party daily Pravda said Gorbachev will also visit Cuba early in April, but the report gave no date for the trip. Gorbachev had been due to visit Britain and Cuba in December on his way home from addressing the United Nations in New York.
