Local News in Brief : N. Hollywood Man Found Shot to Death
A North Hollywood man was found shot to death early Thursday on a dirt road leading to the Hansen Dam Recreation Area, police said.
The body of Arto Vahric Kilavuz, 25, was found on a service road off Wentworth Street near Stonehurst Avenue in Sun Valley about 6 a.m. after a resident of the area called Los Angeles police, Detective Al Ferrand said. Kilavuz had been shot in the upper torso, Ferrand said.
The body, which was visible from Wentworth Street, appeared to have been at the location since Wednesday night, Ferrand said.
An investigation into the killing was continuing, he said.
