The trial in Sunnyvale of seven anti-abortion protesters began with the prosecutor telling jurors that abortion is not the issue in the case. “It’s about trespass,” Rebecca Hayworth of the Santa Clara County district attorney’s office said in her opening arguments. The defendants, all members of the Operation Rescue anti-abortion group, were among about 250 people arrested Oct. 29 at the Family Planning Alternatives Inc. clinic in Sunnyvale.
