Upland-based Lewis Homes of California has announced plans to build 2,870 homes in 14 different Southland locations over the next two years.
The homes will range from condominiums in the $80,000-range to luxury detached houses that will sell for more than $600,000. About half the homes will be built this year, with the remainder to be completed in 1990.
Lewis Homes’ biggest project this year is Moreno Valley Ranch, a golf-oriented community in Riverside County that will eventually have about 1,500 homes. Prices are expected to start at about $200,000 when sales begin in the spring.
